Statement: Mary Mary is a
figurative artist that is fascinated with the human experience. Her paintings
attempt to convey a feeling or mood and focus upon human emotions and
issues. As a figurative painter with expressionistic influences, she chooses colors for their particular emotional impact. The brushstrokes also plays an important part in her paintings with the mood of the painting being alive with action. |
| Bio Mary Mary has studied at various schools in the Houston area, focusing primarily on oil painting and printmaking. She studied at The Art League of Houston with one of their finest teachers, Cholla. Mary Mary also taught art with Creative Alternatives in their after school art programs for many years. She exhibited her sculpture works in Houston with Buffalo Bayou Art Park and has also exhibited in Houston and the surrounding communities. Her works hang in numerous private collections. |
